I just want to thank a whole bunch of people who responded to my Story Sparks newsletter sent out in May. I wrote about step-parenting and so many of you sent me notes about your own stepping-up, stepping-back, stepping-over, stepping back. There are lots of us who are step-parents. I'm finding in my later life, that challenges continue but so do the fruits of stepping-up to do the best I can. And forgiving myself when I mess up. I need to remind myself that I'm doing the best I can and so are my step-kids.
The begonia my step-son and his wife gave me for Mother's Day is still blooming. And the call from my step-daughter (who is in the midst of moving!) was a fine reminder that my husband has good passed on good genes. step
