Labyrinth Story at Trinity Bend

I've written before about our beautiful home we moved into in November of 2011.  One of the features that so attracted us was the labyrinth in the front yard.  I just received this lovely video from the former owners of the home.  It features the Trinity Episcopal congregation here in Bend discovering the labyrinth story and creating one within their church.  It also features how they then moved to create an outdoor labyrinth...in our yard!

It's the perfect beginning to the new year as a labyrinth encourages us to prepare, reflect and center. I hope you'll enjoy this video and if any of you have labyrinth stories, please share them!

Thanks for sharing this video. It's fascinating to see how their labyrinth came into being, and also the creation of the one in your yard. The one in their church appears to be like a large carpet placed on the floor... a wonderful idea. I haven't had any experience with labyrinths, but the first YA novel my daughter ever wrote included a labyrinth that had a significant part in the story so she did a lot of research on them. (It was truly a "first" novel, however... relegated to the closet.)

This is a great story. I helped build a labyrinth in Kearney, AZ a few years ago. It was a wonderful experience in community building and meditation.
